Being a mover and dancer before a film editor, I am constantly amazed by the connection between dancing and film, the flow, the balance, the movement and the rhythm.

Science-dance theatre performance, a Nanodance exploring the science of the very small through Dance 2018. Nanoscience talk: Jessamyn Fairfield. Choreography: Deirdre Cavazzi. NUI Galway, O’Donoghue centre, Novembre 2018. Part of National Science Week. Supported by a public engagement grant from the UK Institute of Physics. I participated in it as a dancer and was able to connect dance with film in retrospect. You can watch all of it here.

In 2022, I had the opportunity to participate again this time exploring the neuroscience of memory. The performance is called CONDUIT.

Web-Docs: Intro to Contact Improv

I was supposed to be dancing but I realized how easier it is to move with the camera and hide behind it.

Both Contact Improv and Filming break boundaries and dig in the depth of intimacy.

This was filmed during a Contact Improv Camp in Champville School moderated by Corinne Skaff in 2016.
